The school follows a system of CCE (continuous comprehensive assessment). The assessments are broadly classified as SA (summative assessment) and FA (Formative assessment). There are two FA's per term and the end of the term is concluded by a SA. Open house twice a year. Formal assessments begin from Grade 1.

Students participate in the 'Europe Meets India (EUMIND) Exchange programme' - As part of the ongoing exchange between Jan Van Brabant, Helmond & Lilavatibai Podar High School, Mumbai, the Dutch delegation consisting of 17 students and 2 teachers visited Mumbai in December 2015. The group actively participated in a number of activities, presentations & seminars which focused on Indian values and traditions.
1 field trip per year, organized by PTA. Children taken to museums, theme play areas like kidzania, aquariums, nehru science centre, etc.
Air conditioned classrooms, equipped with a whiteboard, touchscreen and computer with internet connectivity. Also has facilities for mobile learning, wherein parents have to provide students with a phone wihtout sim card. Promotes objective form of learning; however, it is optional for students.
Very close to the school building is the Podar Sports Academy and ground, where students are taken regularly for sports activities and Physical Education.
